Needs Assessment

10
Needs Assessment
  • The first and most critical phase of the selection process!
  • Understanding your own department’s needs will make you a better evaluator and consumer in the marketplace
  • You will achieve a higher level of satisfaction in the final selection by participating fully in this process
  • You are helping the college achieve its 20/20 Vision program goals
11
Needs Assessment Outcome
  • Overview document of your SIS needs and goals
    • Prioritized system capabilities
  • A preliminary evaluation of systems and vendors that you may want to consider based on your stated goals
  • An outline for creating a Request for Proposal (RFP) to evaluate products and invite vendors for product demonstrations
